FAQs

How does it all work?

Your first step is to get in touch with me. If you are not sure what collection to choose or have questions, I’ll be happy to guide you.

During our initial consultation, we will chat all about your pet and your family. I want to know all you want to share with me. Everything is important for telling your pet visual story. We then choose date and time, choose a location and I will give you some tips on how to best prepare for the photoshoot.

At the session, you and your fur-kiddo just have to relax and be yourself. During years of volunteering in animal shelters, I’ve worked with all kinds of animal personalities, and have good knowledge of animal behavior and all patience in the world. We will spend as much time as needed to take perfect pictures, and I usually ask to block at least two hours for this experience.

Next, I will edit and postprocess the images. It will take one or two weeks after the session day. Then we will have a Zoom meeting and go over all of your images and choose your favorites. When we finalize your order, I’ll send the images over to production, and in a couple of weeks you’ll get your gorgeous artwork.

How long does the session take?

It depends on many things such as your pets’ personalities, number of animals and our session goal. I always ask to block at least two hours for the photoshoot, but it can vary. We will spend as much time as needed to take perfect pictures.

Can I or my kids be on the images too?

Yes! Picturing the precious bond between people and animals is one of my favorite things in the world. So I would encourage you and your kids to be on the pictures.

How many animals are included?

All animals and all people in your household are included in the session. There is no extra fee.

My cat is indoor only, and she will hate to travel. Can we still have a photo session?

Yes! In fact, as a cat photographer, I do most of the photo sessions in my clients’ homes. Kitties love their own spaces and will feel the best in their familiar place. I have a portable studio, so it’s easy set up light and backdrops in your home.

My cat is very shy. Is it possible to take good pictures of her?

Yes. I learned to speak Cat during years of working with them and volunteering in animal shelters. It might take some extra patience and maybe some tricks, but I have a good knowledge of cat behavior. I photographed absolutely terrified cats who just arrived in their foster homes or adoption centers.

My kitten cannot sit still even for a second. I’m not sure it’s possible to photograph him, but I want to have memories of him being so tiny.

It is absolutely possible, and I love taking action shots. And especially kittens. I’m a professional photographer, and I have proper equipment and know how to use it. I can take beautiful images even of the craziest kitten in the world.
